Pewter Charm Necklace

Tools Needed

  • Pewter Letter Charm
  • 7mm Jump Ring
  • 18" Ball Chain
  • Melody Number Stamps
  • 2.5mm Heart Outline Design Stamp
  • Chain Nose Pliers
  • Ergo-Angle Hammer
  • Small Steel Block
  • Stamp Enamel Marker
  • Stamp Guides

Step 1

Secure the pewter charm to the steel block using the Straight Stamp Guides

Step 2

Stamp desired date on letter charm

  • Place stamping blank on steel block
  • If the stamp has an ImpressArt logo, make sure it is facing you to make sure the letter is stamped in the right direction
  • Hold the letter stamp at a 90 degree angle to the pewter letter
  • Strike the stamp once with medium force

Highlight letter impressions with stamp enamel marker

  • Run the tip of your marker over the stamped area from left to right
  • Wait 1-3 minutes
  • Wipe away excess ink with a soft cloth

Attach the jump rings to the stamped charms

  • Hold one pair of chain nose pliers on each side of the opening
  • Move the ends past each other to open

Step 5

Close the jump ring

  • Hold the jump ring on each side of the opening with chain nose pliers
  • Move the ends of the jump ring laterally to close it
  • Move the ends past one another several times
  • As the ends align, you will feel or hear a “click” as the ends touch

Attach the charm by sliding it onto a chain
